Oil is going up !

Yeah, it's not the best heating source to be fair and we use it sparingly ( mainly when the oil price goes through the roof)

My neighbours both live in the 18th century and burn anything that moves. Quite disgusting what comes out of their chimneys. Coupled with an entitled farmer down the road who regularly burns all sorts of shit, its not good air quality in winter up here somedays

Won't be long before Ed and his mates ban wood burners......
Well an hour of burning even with an eco certified wood burner releases the same particulate pollution load as 18 diesel cars or 6 diesel Lorrie’s for an hour.

We know that after just ten minutes stood by a busy roadside some particle pollution a human absorbs can be visibly seen, under microscope, in blood samples taken from them.

We know these particles are linked to asthma, stroke, heart disease and cancers - all of which cost the NHS (or, more accurately me and you as taxpayers) billions each year.

Also, not sure if you’ve seen noticed but Ed Milliband is living rent free in your head!

All except the ones used by Drax to burn 7 millions tonnes of wood pellets each year, almost all imported, they won't get banned because they're "renewable".
The 400 tonnes of particulates and vast amounts of Co2 they emit each year don't count, but you mustn't chuck a log on your fire.....
Not to mention how they get to Drax. When I'm at my farther in laws i see the Drax diesel train going past his house.

The government reckon theyll cease paying Drax to burn the wood pellets by next year. Mind you, they promise a lot of things that never materialise.

I mean, what did they seriously expect when they went into business with Drax?

Depends how you see it - some of the anti-green folk must be happy to see someone keeping wood burning and diesel use alive.

Drax - sticking it to the man!
Anti-woke power generation.

Could be their new marketing campaign.

The previous owners of my cottage installed a pellet burner to run the central heating under a Govt initiative then ripped it out after a year as it was inefficient (cost of pellets / poor heat production)

Ed thought it was a good idea though....

Ed. Still in my head.

I've heard of others doing the same.

Emailed Homefuels Direct this morning requesting when I might expect my overdue oil delivery....
......just replied, confirmed delivery tomorrow.....Friday 13th

Just a bit concerned that the message end ....'you don't have to be on-site'

.....there is anecdotal evidence of companies turning up and then driving away, citing delivery difficulties at the tank.

I shall be monitoring my lane very carefully tomorrow
