We have lots of gas storage available in redundant gas fields under the North Sea but Millband and the Zero zealots won't use it....gas I assume that will be going up too - especially as we can’t store much anymore.
Which company is that ?Still waiting for my delivery @74p/ltr ordered last Monday….had a text message today saying delivery would be 02/11/2026 wtf!!!
Seems they’ve now stopped taking calls…..I probably need to raise a ticket!!![]()
That's crazy !! So retail margin is 10p or less per litre ?We have an independent fuel station; we do not have the capacity to buy fuel weeks in advance. We usually have 2 deliveries a week. Back end of last week, we had to pay £1.69 PL for diesel supreme. We had booked a delivery for tomorrow and got the price to us this morning, not retail, £2.05 PL.
We have cancelled the delivery! Don't know what to do?

For us to be near the prices with a big Shell site(MFG) down the road, it's never above 10p profit; sometimes it's only 2p. When all big companies take over what's going to happen? That's crazy !! So retail margin is 10p or less per litre ?
There is a difference between 'actively encouraged' and "realised'I don’t believe that’s accurate.
While there is currently is a ban on ‘new’ fields existing fields can still be worked and even expanded and storage is actively encouraged - for energy security.

It was a great time to do the NC500, didn't book a site ahead at all, no problems finding fuel either in the Highlands, it was just expensive, over £2 a litre in some places. It was nudging £2 a few years back. I can't remember the reason tho'. I do remember just cutting back on unnecessary journeys and how much quieter the roads were.
