This is an absolute pita.
It appears the t6 uses a brand new connector and no adapter I have found works.

It's the black lead in this picture.

I have bought a vw fakra dab adapter and it wouldnt fit.

I tried another cable and nope. Won't fit.

I then decided to buy this
Connects2 Ltd

It fits the alpine smb male fine.

However it would fully go into the VW side properly. So I broke the black connector of to reveal its smb female.
The cable goes straight into the alpine without the cable. Fits snug.

But dab won't work.

Tried the cable. Dab won't work. It's getting no signal.
I'll plug the oem unit back in to check it works but what gives.

I can't use alpines dab aerial as I have a heated screen and it causes interference.

Any advice? I tried @Absolut5 Recommendation bit didn't fit the t6.

I only listen to kisstory on dab so no real loss.

We did one the other day, and all works fine,,,

The Alpine will need the dab antenna switched on

So earlier today all of a sudden my x801d decided to run slow and crash whilst typing in the sat Nav. It said failed to connect. It reset itself FM radio still playing uninteruppted.

Then later dab was working. Fully working. Great.

Popped the van into reverse to manouver Audio muted and dab was lost and won't return.

So it's an alpine issue.........hummmm the plot thickens. Still waiting for my USB adapter.

Do a full reset on the unit mate...

We got our USB adapters, but I'm afraid they do not work, so will be contacting them soon

Reset it....boom I have dab radio. Thanks.

Shame about the USB adapters. Still not recieved mine.

Well that lasted long. Dab cannot decide when to work and when not to. Very unreliable. Must be the alpine unit.

Hi there,

I am so glad I read your thread as I too wasted too purchased three aerial connects2 FM and DAB and it was only the last twin. FM adapted lead that worked. I have the same DAB cable plug that you have.

I wonder if you can tell me how you fixed it, or
any recommendations?

I really wish I had paid the £&0
to have this fitted. It has, as you stated. Been a real PITA fitting an aftermarket head unit.

I am actually considering an FM/DAB aerial or Sharkfin to solve the problem.
