My 2022 T6.1 must have had the software updated by the dealer when I purchased it last year, as it looks like it has a even newer software version.


All seems to work as expected.

For those who might wanna try updating the head unit themselves, i was just posting the link to the firmware in case anyone wanted to investigate and save some cash.

Of course all at your own risks.

Hi, us it doable with mobile/laptop or do you need specific hardware

I was unable to find the required firmware file for download within the MIB system for a DIY install. I'm booked into a garage next week to get updated to latest firmware, surpassing 0743.

I couldn't see the appropriate file within the various MIB folders after logging in. Have looked regularly over past few months to no avail.

I'm booked in to VW Retrofits Friday 6th March for an update, £100 plus Vat.

I think mine has that Hardware and software numbers.
