Hi, new Transporter 6.1, not a California. Have an external windscreen cover, works well on front 3 windows. Not sure what thermal blinds for other windows to get. Vehicle carpet covers metal on other windows except tailgate. Was looking at Brandrup, would these fix on, not keen on sucker idea. Also, any advice re which pop top insulation cover is best? Ideas re how to reduce rivers of condensation? Previously had coachbuilt then adria campervan, no condensation issues like this and had not realised how bad it would be

Rivers of condensation on the poptop? We have some in winter but more of an issue that it gets damp and needs drying before leaving the top down. Do you get puddles then? Could it be another problem or maybe more ventilation required (we normally open front windows slightly).

We have a rainbow screen cover for the poptop which is great. Got one for the front windows and it worked really well so went for the same company for the poptop. This was more to insulate and keep warm but we get no condensation inside now with this.

Having this on does stop any possibility of ventilating through the roof though and also cuts a lot of light out (has window at front but didn’t realise how much light comes through the canvas itself.

Finally, have a real issue with remembering to fit it before putting up the awning, I seem to have a mental block with this and only one time remembered!

Hi, sorry, the pop top does get some condensation, but it is mainly the windows that get rivers of condensation, an absolute pain having to sort out on a morning

Put a tag/label on your awning bag zip to remind you.

Also, do these covers provide cooling is summer, we go abroad in our van
It can’t cool or heat, just insulate.
The best way to ventilate the van in hot weather IMO while keeping the van relatively secure is to use a tailgate bar. It will provide convection in though the tailgate and out through the pop top.

We bought a reusable Desiccant Silica Gel bag to absorb moisture which livs in the tray on the dash. We keep the windows cracked open at night. We have a Karcher window washer which I know some use to 'vacuum' up the water on the inside of the windows.
