Some of you may have seen my post in the new memebers area a few weeks ago. Now I've done a fair few things to the Transporter I thought Id put up a sort of progress thread!

Its a 2018 150 manual “Edition” model and here it is standard as purchased;
88951ECA-DB5E-4108-8B80-EE65031FDB5D.jpeg 6CD255CF-0E9F-4620-9EFE-297BC0E16D65.jpeg 87E30825-9AD7-44ED-9BBD-33708F67B4DF.jpeg 8957302A-E8E7-46FB-87D3-AF2BAAECC85E.jpeg
First of all it got genuine VW (Eibach) 30mm springs as they are so high standard;

Then VW spoiler and towbar (VW Westfalia)

Towbar wiring is something else!313CE2C1-744C-4698-9DAE-13B9D14F5C5F.jpeg 0272B87E-08BC-4E33-ACB7-EAE9CC48E4FD.jpeg
Well worth it for the setup it gives;

Lowered, spoiler and towbar fitted. VW mudflaps were next but wheels sticking far too much inside arches- looks silly!
8B17BC96-E94A-4AD9-86B6-CA625EF3CF57.jpeg
So mudflaps fitted and H&R wheel spacers ordered. Before spacers; BE5C1078-04C8-4C64-956E-6698A1706A46.jpeg
After;
CA55368A-B9F4-4FDA-AA19-7381FC1EFABC.jpeg E922BA13-FE06-4A7B-A8FF-5BFDAD42A001.jpeg
By this time my private registration was on the van. Really wasnt keen on the diamond cut on the wheels, just didnt suit the theme VW had on the van with all the black. So wheels refurbished in gloss black;F9C54D86-8120-4001-9061-88814808E678.jpeg 7174CE11-82C4-4C21-9F76-CB46F7F24849.jpeg

So how it stands now after just a week and a half of ownership, looks how it should come from the factory I think!

Away for a wee tour up North this weekend, so will get to use it and be happy how its looking!

Next Id like to do something with passenger compartment door cards to get rid the crap cardboard things, and I will carpet the plylining in the rear!

Looking very good!

What size of spacers did you use? Also did you get new bolts etc with them? I am looking at using spacers for my winter wheels and your setup looks spot on!

@steveo1986 I have used 25/30mm H&R spacers as I had seen pictures elsewhere on the forum with that setup and looked good. Originally after fitting I thought it was maybe a bit too much, but I think it was the diamond cut wheels I was just really not liking because now I've had wheels done in Black I think it looks perfect!

Edit- Yes they come as a proper kit with bolts. Not cheap though (£244!!!)

That’s a smart looking van you have there. Keep up the good work.

Yeah thats not the cheapest, I have looked at ones on eBay etc but I am not convinced, at least with H&R you know the quality!

They are powder-coated rather than painted. I get trade price of £160 but probably standard price to expect would be more like £200 if you drop van off..

How much was the tow bar fitted

Thanks, Im happy with it now. It really should come from the factory looking how it is now! Especially the Black wheels, the Edition really doesnt suit the Diamond Cut!

I never think about the comfort which means it must be good :thumbsup:

Remember they are VW springs so I assumed they would be good. Its not exactly low either!

Was wondering what mine would look like with just the VW lowering springs!

Looks much better, how much were the spacers?
