It won’t stop them leaking, it will just collect the water to allow it to leak at a slightly higher point. This trim does not seal against the window glass, there is a gap.Bit of a thread hijack - where do you put the bead of silicone on the trim to stop them leaking on the inside?

Its funny you should say that - our drive is about 7m long and has approx 600mm fall to the road. I’ve noticed they never leak on the drive, only when we’re parked up somewhere flat!Park nose down, don't leak then![]()
Hi, would you be able to tell me the part number for these please? If you know of it.Yeah there's a smooth plastic trim, if you need one shout I've got some![]()
Thank you for the reply.7LA847745. There are usually a few on ebay. Dealer price is £30 roughly which is expensive for what it is.
Be careful. The little clips snap super easily when installing/removing. I need a new one.
Did you need to remove the trim in order to fit your vanshades? Interested as about to order a set for my T6 and haven’t seen it mentioned before.I have a pair available took off my t6.1 when I fitted van shades only in the van a number of months. Based in Colchester

Hi, thanks. I wonder if they’ve changed the design now as I didn’t realise yours weren’t fitted too recently. I’ll ask the questionI fitted Van shades 4 years ago and only recently uncovered these trims as selling my van. I can only assume I did remove them to fit the Van shades, no other reason to take them off. Hope that helps!
Thanks mate, appreciated. It’s a good opportunity to check the ‘cup’ part of the drainage is still in good condition/not broken I guess.fitted Vanshades a few months back and yes you need to remove the trim, it is in the instructions or video
