Lowering my Gen 6

So I've recently got myself a Gen 6 and looking to lower it.

Bilstein b14s seem the forum choice for good reason, but are there any other suggestions that could deliver? And under what compromises.

It'll stay as a caravelle, and I'll be carrying kids and bikes, but nothing super heavy.

I'll be keeping the stock discus wheels on 255/45 R18, running all season tyres.

Enjoying the look of JimVee's van from way back, but possibly too low as I may be parking in mtb carparks etc so need some travel still.

I can get good prices at EuroCarParts so options there are VanSlams (200quid) or H&S springs (70quid)...

Comments and opinions welcome!

We’ve just had our T32 shuttle lowered by Steve at @CRS Performance, speak with him before you spend out on Bilsteins, or anything else for that matter.

The van was lowered around 50mm, it’s truly night and day, drove it today and it’s like it’s on rails!

Being a suspension specialist Steve knows his stuff, he won’t offer you dozens of different makes and combinations as he knows what works. it takes the head ache out of it for sure. Truly quick drive in drive out service too.

Any pics of its new height?

Another recommendation for Steve @CRS Performance who took my rubbish lowering springs only set up and fitted H&R coilovers, various new rubber bushes and some uprated front discs and pads (well, they needed doing). Handles better and less crashy on potholes. Added bonus was I could ride my CX bike round Cannock chase for a couple of hours while the work was done!

Van slams for 200 and H and R for 70. , Euro must be selling stolen parts. Ha ha.

In my experience I would avoid the H&R coilovers if i were buying again.

My front springs rusted after 17 months and were raplaced under warranty. Disapointed to say the least.
