ICE security

So I’m on the lookout for a Caravelle - T6 or 6.1. One thing attracting me to the 6.1 is the latest ICE / Nav - for security reasons as much as anything. I live in an area where there was a large spate of thefts of systems from VWs a couple of years back, and I hate the thought of having to clear up after some scrote has ripped the system out - not to mention the cost. (Van will be parked on the street.) as I understand it the 6.1’s screen is just a screen and not an all in one unit like the last one.

So I was wondering - has this kind of theft happened to anyone / is it an issue? And what would people recommend in terms of a system that is less attractive to thieves? (Don’t say cassette deck!!)
