Hi guys,

Looking to pick up a T32 Kombi Highline 150PS BMT DSG by end of the month, its a 17plate, with a few extras... 27k miles on it, they are asking 23,999 + VAT, doesn't seem to harsh of a price?

Been wanting one for years, and this ones not far away!! Me and the better half will be looking to convert in over the years to come.

just to throw things into the mix, theres the same model transporter, but the 180PS on a 16plate with 26k miles. with the same spec PLUS a detachable tow bar (a nice touch) and a rear heater (factory fitted) oh and reverse camera. at a price of £24,999 +VAT

Worth the extra £1200?

Well worth it. No hassles with that adblue b....cks for a start. More power. None of the problems that are associated with Euro 6 Engine such as constant regens/ EGR failures etc.
I have the 180 Euro 5 engine on a 6 speed manual box, and it’s great.

So are you saying, this - 2016 Volkswagen Transporter T32 TDI Kombi Highline Bmt

doesn't have the same features as the 17plate? so its not a EU6 engine with the regen/egr problems??

The Euro 6 doesn’t have the 180PS option. The biturbo version in the E6 is 204Ps instead.

However it’ll all depend on what your conversion plans are. The rear air con could limit you. I’ve always thought it a bit big and cumbersome. Hopefully someone who has red air con and has converted their van can offer you an opinion on whether it makes it difficult or not.

This is exactly what i was thinking, it looks a hinderance

The 16 plate looks to be lwb and the 17 plate swb. The lwb will give you more space for a conversion.

I’d second GAL2009 in that the grey 16 plate appears LWB. It has the additional length between the end of the sliding door and the rear arch.

well bugger me, you're not wrong! hahaha

Apologies guys! they haven't stated it, I've just checked some pics i took myself of the two...

Just to complicate your decision making further!

Its a rather nice van... i cant believe the prices im being quoted for insurance!! 1200/1300 quid for the 150ps! i had a 16plate audi s3 and that cost me 800 at the age of 22

Give Brentacre insurance a call. IMO they are the best for Transporters and all the mods you want to do or already have.

Yeah, I got some wildly different quotes when I was looking, ranging from £500 - £1700.
