Help! Nicked handbrake cable near lever with angle grinder

I have been very foolish. I was removing the bulkhead retainers in a van with a floor already fitted so I needed to go from the cab side, and the angle grinder nicked the handbrake cable where it enters the van.

It's holding, but is there anyway of testing the cable to know if it's good/needs replacement?

You could cut half the strands in that cable without causing it fail!
Cut the sleeve back with a Stanley and see if any strands are cut through. If not you’re ok.
I can’t remember - does the sleeve slide in a larger outer or does the steel inner slide in the visible sleeve?
If the latter is true and a strand has been cut then you have the possibility of it binding. Otherwise it’ll be fine.

Thanks for all the replies.

Pic attached, looks like the outer is damaged, but not the inner. Doesn't look good though, think I'll need to get it done.
