Think I need to replace my driver side rear calliper.
Replaced discs n pads all round + handbrake cables for mot recently .
Shortly after my rear driver side wheel started getting a bit hot .
Handbrake control arm on calliper suspected, removed from splines & cleaned / greased .
Still sticking g on .....just not quite returning to the stop , but you can push it to the stop .
With calliper off , all moves freely , have tried preloading the control arm , sitting it in position with less spring load , still same !

Any ideas before I give up & book into garage for a new calliper ? It's breaking me , had the wheel off 5 times today ....

If you undo the cable from the caliper, does the lever return to the stop? Or will it still stick when operating it with your hand? If it still sticks, bang a new caliper on it. If it returns to the stop, then slacken the handbrake adjuster right off, remove the caliper and wind the piston back in. Refit the caliper and leave the cable adjuster slack. Now start the van and pump the brake to reset the piston into position and continue to press the brake hard a good dozen times. Now readjust the cable and try it. That should reset the caliper.

Thanks for quick reply .
Did all that but didn't have van running , just pumped brakes with engine off .
Would that make a difference?

Yeah, you'll get more pressure on the brake as the servo will be operating.
