Hi all,

Been browsing this site for a long time, but delighted to finally post as a T6 owner! I've had a good look on here but struggling to find recomendations for good VW specialists in London (Hackney-ish)?

Would be for a few camper conversion jobs (leisure battery, pop top), possibly lowering and later on servicing once it's out of warranty.

Cheers!

Hi, welcome to T6 ownership..

Sorry I can't advise on a recommendation in that area but generally conversion companies and vw service mechanics are two completely different species...

Use a conversion company for the mods and find a good independent garage for the services

I can’t think of any converters in London, so your nearest might be VisionTech Automotive in Essex.

Welcome to the forum!

Ahhh, good point ... will bear that in mind. Which camp would you put lowering & alloys in though? Cheers!

Thank you .... They look decent. Yeah a definitive lack of converters until you head out to the coast fom here.

Some convertors do offer to fit lowering springs themselves or they may use a local garage to do it.. but personally most of us have used a suspension specialist...

Lowering springs alone will result in a harsh ride especially if your fitting 20's... so just be careful and research suspension on here and decide what you want from the drive of the van..

Once you pick up your alloys any decent tyre fitting place will balance and fit them. Just make sure you fit the correct size and load rated tyre's for the van..

Dub vanstyle Guildford did mine , but I think they are now in odiham with jk.

Yep, been reading through the Blistein / Koni opinions ... Just been up to the Hebrides though and enjoyed the factory ride height for the roads up there!
