Looking very good Herdy
I’ve got access to a very large flat field right on the shoreline of Ullswater, perfectly suitable for a forum members weekend camp meet up , no facilities apart from fresh drinking water tap,chemical toilet waste disposal and bins and a private section of shoreline to the lake. Also a 3 minute walk to pub.

Sounds idealic, brings back memories of 1996 and 3 weeks at the Outwood Bound centre.

Well, busy couple of weeks working on the van.

New front discs and pads
New bottom ball joints
50mm Vogtland lowering kit
Leighton roof rails
Leighton front spoiler
Sequential side repeaters

Removed and painted the chrome trims on the front grill, painted in Audi Mars red.

Had an issue with the sliding door handle being sloppy and loose, not always catching. Managed to fix that with a modified Allen key to replace a pin that had dropped out.

Replacement springs a bit of a pain, with it being the T28 the struts are pressed and clamped into the hubs so it was a full strip down. Seemed pointless not to do the ball joints and brakes at the same time. As it happened - the front discs were absolutely shot, dangerously so. This explained (and rectified) a judder the van had at times which I was starting to think may be the DMF.

Cam belt and water pump this week & wheel alignment once the suspension has settled down

Looks and drives like a different van. Love it!
