Heat from Transporter HQ Headlights with LED’s

For those that have the transporter HQ headlights with the LED option, is there enough heat given off to melt off and snow or ice over winter? On my old defender I had to use LEDs with an inbuilt heater in the lense to keep them clear, so just weighing up whether to go LED or H4/7.

I've had no issues with my factory LED ones in winter so far.

There isn't really much heat given off.

We find if you don't put the LEDs in the light out is that much greater than the factory ones

Thanks. So you think to the filament bulbs are enough of an improvement over standard, and it will keep them defrosted?

Not directly related to your question, but the factory LED lights on our Leon and Superb definitely don’t melt off even the slightest trace of ice

Nope, not on mine.

Push comes to shove I'd rather be able to see on the 340 non frosty days and deal with the 25 frosty days as they come, rather than have 365 days of mediocre light.
