Hardwire dashcam to T6.1 - Ground

Hi All,

I'm fitting my nextbase dashcam to my new T6.1, and can see there is a fusebox under the steering wheel which looks like an ideal location. My problem however is that I cannot see a location for the ground. Lots of vids on YouTube are based on the T6 but the configuration is different and it doesn't appear to be as easy in the T6.1.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good ground location and how I can do it?

Did mine around a year ago and I’m sure there is a ground to the right of the fuse box on the wheel arch.

I haven't seen this one myself but here you go;

I used a connection point on the A pillar as i had it exposed anyway. I used a ring-crimp under one of the screws to the body.

I grounded my dashcam to a lug under this cover. The cover is a bit of a pig to get off but easier that working with your head under the dash.

Thanks mate, I was looking at that as an option but couldn't see how to get that off!

Yeah I can't quite remember how I got it off now. I think it involved a lot of wiggling and swearing!

I managed to find it! You need to unscrew the flooring nut near the acceleration pedal, then pull back the flooring to access it. I then tested my fuses with a multi meter to check which one wasn't on all time and used that.
