Golf GTI Mk 7.5 seats into Velle - Airbags

Searched the forums, where this is asked, but yet to find the answer. Fitted a pair of Mk7.5 leathers from a GTi to match the GTi steering wheel, i fitted recently.

(in case someone is searching answer for that - i used a non-dsg wheel, with Polo Gti buttons as that matched my buttons and the original loom from the velle- no coding needed)

I had single captain leathers that are heated & airbaged, but after fitting H&R springs & rollbar to new B14’s with PS5 tyres, the van handles/grips considerably better and was finding that we slide about in the original leathers. So with HQ adapters fitted some Golf seats. Now its time to get the electric working. Struggled to find a wiring diagram and im of an age of Haynes manuals that had this at the back.

Got the correct wires but the colours bar brown are different- any thoughts?? Transporter airbag connection is on the left and has brown, blue & black. Golf has brown white and green.

OK so i bought a 6.1 with double passenger seat, knowing i could swop in my T6 single passenger seat, but in their wisdom VW have slightly changed the airbag plug and wire colour.... so they are now White, green and brown, where before they were black, blue and brown. so i could take a punt with...

All sorted - Airbags wired and working. Tense moment when you reconnect the battery………

Brown to Brown
Black to White
Blue to Green

Now to the heated elements! Should be easier….

Hi,

I've got a LHD 2018 T6 that I've just bought some Golf MK7.5 seats for, and I seem to have a slightly different wiring set up for the seat airbag plug. I have the T6 wiring diagram, I can't find the Golf one.

I have:
- Van side plug has White / Green / Brown wires
- Golf seat has Green / White / Brown wires.

While I'm pretty sure Brown connects to Brown, I'm less confident the other colours just need to be matched up like-for-like. I might be being a bit thick here but don't want to take any chances with the airbag!

Can anyone clarify?

#tredder76 - seems same as my pictures above. I just bought the transporter airbag’s second hand, to just use the yellow connector. I did try a source just the connector but failed. I just then ‘un-pinned’ them to change over. Works a treat no light on dash board.
