Fitting electric brake controller.

Hi all,
I’m just in the middle of fitting a controller for electric frailer brakes and am wondering if anyone knows the best way to wire in the brake activating wire and the best place to pick up the brake signal.
At the moment I have run wire down the van from front to back but on investigating there is a blue trailer brake wire in the loom at the towbar and was wondering if it leads up to the front fuse box and so connect there?
