Engine fan or Air Con. fan

Newbie question: the answer maybe how long is a pice of string: when the engine is initially turned off the fan keeps running for a good few minutes or so: the reading on the dashboard does not show that the engine is over heating. Is this normal for a van?

Yes, perfectly normal. It's just to get rid of the residual heat

It’s always the way ..you drive for a good hour...Get home and the stupid van try’s to regenerate ...and that awful smell ...
ps ..for all the new owners the regeneration process will not work if fuel tank is low

No smell, got fuel in it - it is going in for a service Monday, so should be good.
