Yes I tried one on my T5. I coupled it with soundproofing the under bonnet with a kit and it all made a bit of a difference but not a huge amount. The T6 150 engine is so much more refined that it's quieter without soundproofing than the T5 130 was with it so I'm not sure it would be worth it.
Thanks Andys i was kinda doubtful they would offer much so good to get some real feedback 
I'll do the front wheelarches and rest of the floor pan. Its ironic really, I've put a real lot of time and effort into making the back of the van super quite the problem is now all i can hear quite literally is the engine, the interior is super quite, i'll have to see how far up the engine bulkhead i can get soundproofing on the inside
