ceramic fibre insulation

Hi all. I've just bought a 2019 T30 to convert and looking at options for lining and insulation. has anybody used or has any opinion on ceramic fibre blanket for insulation. link below.

Also probably going to use Dodo sound deadener & acoustic foam.

Hi @KeVan71 and welcome to the forum.

I’m curious as to why you’re thinking of using the ceramic version which would be more at home lining chimney flues etc?

The general consensus is to use the normal, less dense and much lighter version;

Diall Insulation roll, (L)6m (W)0.37m (T)100mm | DIY at B&Q

Other suppliers also stock 50mm thick which is useful in cavities which are less deep.

I also was surprised to see B&Q list Dodo mat!

Hi @Greybeard Thanks for your reply.

I was looking at the Dial insulation when I noticed the ceramic roll, my thinking was that if its for high temperature it would work well for insulation.

No other reason behind it just exploring all options. Happy to use the Dial if others have used it and happy with it.
