Electrics Advice

Looking to start the electrics in the van over the next few days and looking for some advice on whether the below seems correct?

I’ll be using 1.5mm twin core for the majority as it’ll mainly be a day van.

Do people tend to use conduit for the cable runs to protect the twin core, use cable protection tape, or just leave bare as is?

Also will a 12v digital voltmeter need fused or will this be fine going straight to the battery?

Thanks.

Might be better if you drew it out clearer mate not a dig but it’s difficult to see, cant tell from your pic if you are intending to run your light in series or parallel

Also if your using a fuse box ? As a side note it’s preference all mine is in conduit mainly as I have loads and it allows a bit of future proofing too

Just put your voltmeter the other side of one of those fuses if you can, otherwise put an inline fuse in place Close to the battery.
I would use thicker cable for the 10A circuits.

Cheers both, I’ll draft up something clearer but the lights would be running in parallel. I was thinking of running both the USB’s off a 10amp fuse which would leave a spare blade for the voltmeter (wasn’t sure what size amp fuse this would of needed).
I can also get a thicker cable for the 10amp (2mm) but was under the impression the 1.5mm can handle 10 amp fuses without an issue? The load on the

I put a switch in line with my voltage meter so i could switch it off, it might not seem bright during the day but if your planning on sleeping in the van that blue glow gets very bright when you're trying to sleep!!
