Hi folks, about to do the above and not an electrician. I have been looking at some tutorial vids on U Tube which has only left me more confused. In the vids some people run an earth cable from the metal casing of the consumer unit to a metal earthing point on the van body or chassis - but some vids don't do this at all. Then I'm questioning is that earth cable needed as the van is standing on rubber tyres. Forgive me not understanding this bit but ss I said - I am not a sparks. Can anyone straighten me out on this bit before I proceed and mess it up.
