DPF Dilemma and the van is stranded. Any ideas?

I'm back at it today and waiting for the delivery of a new jack and stands.

In the meantime, I've just put a borescope down the lambda hole and took a photo.

What's your interpretation of it?

I wasn't sure how if it was just very dirty or fully blocked as I've never seen inside one.

Am I right in saying that this would be inside the Cat? I'm starting to use Cat & DPF interchangably and getting myself confused.

If anybody is expecting to see "daylight" through a dpf , well good luck with that.
Even a brand new unused dpf will not show daylight , its just not how they are designed or indeed work.

However, yours must have a hole in it , as you confirmed that you had seen "heavy black smoke "

You should be able to see holes into the square sections which allow the flow through the DPF.

Should be able to see a brand new DPF image attached. From your image you can see that all of these sections are clearly filled in, hence why it certainly appears to be blocked.
