Hi all

First post here but been a vip member and t6 owner for many years

My issue is that i have just fitted a brand new crate engine from VW along with new Delphi high pressure pump, filter and delphi fuel rail from PH Jones in my 2018 150bhp CXHA 2.0 4motion T6

I am using VCDS and have coded in the injectors and bled the system, the van is now starting and seems to idle smoothly however I have not allowed to to run for any length of time as the workshop manual states that after replacing hpfp and rail the learned values need to be reset

Can anyone clarify the procedure in vcds to do the reset of these?

Also will i need to reset the values for any other parts on the new engine?

Everything engine related has been replaced including the turbo, catalytic converter, dpf and all exhaust sensors on cat, complete fuel system, dual mass and clutch

There is a "high oil pressure" setting for engine run in too.

Well, the workshop manual states "system EDC 17" - this ECU is not used on EU6 engines (CXHA etc.).
In the updated workshop manual (edition 11.2024) the mention to "reset learnt values" is removed. Just fill/bleed fuel system - the end.

In the adaptations - IDE07903-Adaptation of ash mass - adapt to 0.

In the EU5 engines (ECU EDC 17) there is
under Basic Settings - IDE02703-Reset learned values quant. meter. unit and press. contr. valve

excellent, thanks

I saw this option but I wasn't sure if using it would reset other things that haven't been replaced also?
Is this a safe option or does it reset everything and have the potential to cause issues with other stuff?
That is a good question, and if @mmi thinks it is not necessary I would take his advise.
