My engine isn’t one of the problematic ones but my main dealer said to me to get rid of the DPF, EGR & delete the adblue and my van would run forever.

PP Tuning make custom stainless exhausts. Have dummy cats inline etc.
I had one on my old T5. Had a nice burble note to it too. Maybe give them a call.
IIRC one of the initial problems with the van was lots of black smoke. Removing filters isn’t fixing that problem so whatever goes on will stand out unless the tester is blind.

Why do you want to reconnect it? Just a visual thing?
With no DPF (now you have removed the filter material) the andblue injector will become clogged with soot and that’s likely going to start throwing errors.
