we did a night in the lake district on the way up and a glamping pod on the north coats for one night, ben nevis on the way back and a night in the pooley bridge inn before the last 350 mile run

Honestly one of the best things we have ever done, cant wait to go again

In line Water flow meter !!!!
Having just fitted a 60L underslung fresh water tank, I realised I needed something to gauge the amount of water loaded on to the van.
They say 1L of water weights 1kg, so 60L is 60Kg.
This way I can onboard 20L/30L/40L-60L as required before the journey.
Or, just get to site and brim-it before setting up.
Though mindful of @cgtmiles comment about always forgetting to load Water when arriving on site, I thought loading 20L of water before heading off would be a good idea.
But..... How to gauge 20L?... It's all about pressure and flow rate - so basically you have no idea.
That's where this gadget comes into play.

I got a new thread incoming about this.Ps …not a camper van pro ( day van ) ….but having worked in the Pharma industry and seen how important clean water is…
Make sure your water is safe …..the last thing you want is an upset tummy on your trips ..

He's done me a load of info to share with you lot....... Just need a chance to post it.
As somebody who has made themselves very ill by drinking 'dirty' water, I can vouch for that. Long story short, I was out on a ride and (stupidly as it turned out) filled my water bottle from a church yard tap - I assumed that it was safe but it turned out that included a healthy dose of ecoli with the usual H2O. It gave me a urinary tract infection which didn't go away fully for almost 3 months despite courses of increasingly strong anti-biotics.

Can you please ask him how much (i.e. in p.p.M) sodium hypochloride you need to make spring water safe?
Many years ago I used to do that to treat the caravan water tank, but I lost my notes and memory is unrealiable.
Last time 10 years ago I did 5 days trekking in the wilderness and we had to drink only creek water, but the way below seemed to work.
The base would be a pharmacy chlorine disinfectant solution at 5% (same stuff as housekeeping chlorine, but with reliable dosage and purity).
I remember something like to put a ml of that disinfectant in a liter of pure water, then use 5 to 8 drops of such solution for every liter of unsafe water to treat . Wait 30 minutes before drink.
Our wee cottage is spring water fed and to combat the lurgy, we have a filter and UV system. No chemicals. Not sure if there is a similar set-up with would fit on a camper

Joolca Hot Tap & Shower Base
Time to dig out the joolca stuff from last Black Friday and see how it all goes together.... To get ready for the longer stay summer camp outs.
i got the bag, the quick van mount with cover.
the Hot Tap & shower base.
this is to go with the Joolca Shower Tent Single or Double.
a rough mock up on the bench showed that it come with the weird gas connector . . so i cat that off and replaced with a quick disconnect and 907 blue reg.
this is on the leg things that come in the kit.
using a 907 for gas,
and a Ecoflow Trail 12v / USB power pack for the pump.
then setup the base in re-circ mode.
the i rigged up the VAN MOUNT kit with the screw on magnets i got . .
so that the mount can be mounted on the back door
and with the cover on it looks like this. . . .
the 4x large magnets seem to do a good job keeping it on the van . . . though i wont be driving like this.
just for the setup when on site.
