So it was my understanding that the 250SA should charge the starter battery as well as the leisure battery when the leisure battery is full.

Current demand on the leisure battery is dash cam on all the time, Wi-Fi modem and GSM module for my Webasto heater

Right now the leisure battery is full and showing infinite power yet starter battery is down at 12.06v.

Since covid the van isn’t used as much and during the first lock down the starter battery completely discharged to the point my clifford alarm went off. The van always starts fine.

Knackered starter battery?

the D250A will only trickle charge in 3sec pulses, (upto 1A i think)

from solar only, ( so only during bright sunny day)

and when Leisure battery is full. (which might be not so often)

i would imagine your loads are a greater draw than the D250sa is trickle charging . . . net effect low starter battery.

look at mains charging the starter.

or fit a smart tickle charger like this one.
