Compressor Fridge - Using additional room in side wall?

Hello all!

I'm entering the electrics phase with one eye on the build phase and i'm at the point of thinking about where the fridge will go. I've got a Dometic CRE50 and there is some serious depth on it at 500mm. I'm trying to eek out as much room as I can so i was wondering if there was much concern at having it go deep into the side wall as think that would give me another 80-100mm.

So far i've added silent coat and thermo liner. The plan is to have a L shape kitchen with the main area going across the back of the van and then the fridge as the L.
Was also thinking the side panel area could be the best place to allow waste water to drop as well but haven't go that far in planning

Any advice is very welcome.

Thanks

Yes, I used some of the void space to get my fridge in alongside the sliding seat.

There are some holes in the sills that you can run a 20mm waste pipe through, or you could get a Holesaw out.

I've done this on my previous conversion. I think you only gain 60-80mm but even that opens up options for the kitchen dimensions.
