Comfort Dash retrofit?

Hi All.
I'm on the hunt for my perfect T6.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible the retro-fit the Comfort Dash potion?

PB.

It's possible but expensive if you want to do the entire thing IIRC it's over 2 grand !!
You can do the coloured upper panels and centre console for under 1k though but won't have the metallic trims and top dash storage with lid on it
There's a thread covering this from someone that did the whole thing

Hi Pauly, I have been wondering the same. When I ordered I only thought the Comfort Dash was the lower centre console bit as the description was very vague but I now realise that it included the air vent with controls, the upper glove box and the top dash storage box. I am not too fussed about the painted finish on the glove box and instrument cluster.
My 2003 T5 had a nice big glove box and air vent controls but I am very disappointed with this aspect of the T6 and many other little cost cutting omissions on it. So much so that I will never buy another transporter again.
Can any of these bits (air vent with controls, the upper glove box and the top dash storage box) be fitted to the standard dash?

Technically all of it can be fitted, the centre console is a bolt on straight swap, the upper dash glossy trims all fit straight in with the exception of the upper glovebox this requires parts of the dash behind it to be cut away to accommodate the new glovebox, its a fiddly job and is a one way ticket as once the dash is cut the original wont go back in as you have cut all the mountings away

Thanks, I like the glossy trims but I really miss the 4 x air vent controls and the glove box. Can the 2 side air vents and radio surround with control air vents be fitted as straight swap? When you cut whatever is necessary for the glove box to fit does the new glove box have all the mounts in place?

Outer vents just need a small amount trimming off the bottom edge ,easy to do and then they fit straight in ,middle vent /radio surround fits straight in ,clock bezel needs a bit trimming off bottom right corner ,and then fits straight in .
Glove box is a bit more work ,but all the mounting points are there already ,just quite a bit of plastic to trim/ cut out . I think if you go steadily you could put old one back in .
If you search for the thread "dashboard modifications" page 9 there are some photos of the parts you need to trim .

Have done the dash mod sometime ago. You need the patience of a saint. The centre console does fit nearly the lower plastic under the centre of the floor needs to be trimmed by a by 50mm centre and left side.
Next is to sort the centre... pictured last

Thanks all, I would like to fit the glove box, the top tray with lid and possibly the air vents with the controls. Does the glove box always come in gloss black or do you have to spray it. I am not too bothered about the lower centre console now the gloss black finish on the other parts.
Still I am gutted that I didn't spec the comfort dash when I ordered it as I had a fairly pricy spec (about £49k RRP). Although I am not sure if I could of had the comfort dash if it always comes with the lower centre console because I ordered the rear AC and the controls for that are separate to the main AC controls (to the left of the DSG selector).

Looks great. What are the wires hanging out of the centre console for o_O

It does look great. Did you spray the lower dash and seat bases as well and are those leather seat covers a fit on top or remove original covers and fit?

Hi lower dash are perspex panels matched to the oe glovebox colour my son has a small company specialising in perspex engineering he can cut , form and fit a kit if anyone is interested any colour you like the door cards are matched to the oe dashboard colour the seats a trimmed in real leather at a very reasonable cost to me

Think I'm going to try to make panel on right of ignition switch from one piece of perspex
