I have a wind out Dometic awning and also sometimes use a small Vango Faros air awning, and suffer from water dripping in by the side door when it rains when I attach the Vango awning to the wind out cassette - BUT I invented a cheap solution. It may well have been used by many before, but just in case others have suffered similarly;
I bought a £4 piece of pipe lagging from Homebase;
Cut it down the middle long ways, with a very straight stanley knife cut. Take the 1 metre section with you to your site. Once on site, once pop top is open, zip open the pop top to give you access above the wind out awning cassette and carefully wedge the long section of pipe lagging behind the case of the wind out awning carefully pushing it securely in place. Infill any little gaps with smaller slithers of the lagging carefully pushed into place.
It rained lots last week and other than a very occasional drip IT WORKED! Excellent £4 investment!
