Caravelle 150 Vs 204?

Just looking for opinions on the 2, by far the most popular seems to be the 150, there are lots of good examples for sale with all the right options. I've driven a T6 kombi 204 with DSG and really like (read want) the extra power, but there are a lot fewer for sale.

Is the 150 enough for most people? (I know I should really go a test drive one), can the 150 be safely remapped to get anywhere near the 204? and if so what really is the ultimate difference?

Cheers

I have a remapped 150bhp and I wish everyday I cancelled my order and waited for a 204.
With the poor fuel economy of my 150 I wish I got the same poor fuel economy but with 204+ power.

hmmm, thats what i was thinking. I should have said I am referring to the TDI not TSI.

I'm lucky enough to run both a 204 & a 150 (both DSG)

The 204 is a beast & can really motor along, it pulls like a train & even though it's 4Motion the fuel economy is not much worse than the 150 (which is 2wd)

For a heavy Caravelle I'd go for the 204

attentive to the change, even the 6-speed manual can have problems with this increase in power and torque ...

Well I have a velle 150 I’ve tried both and the 204 does have some grunt but I find the 150 more than enough I’ve a family of 7 (and yes two are dogs lol) and it’s a dsg.
