BCM PQ25 MAX4 H82 0752 on 2025+ Amarok (G2/H2).

Hey everyone,

I recently got my 2024+ Volkswagen Amarok Hero (third facelift, Argentina/Brazil version) and I’m diving into some tweaks to make it even better! in Argentina and Brazil love customizing our amarok, and one feature I’m trying to enable is power-folding mirrors on lock using the BCM PQ25 Max4 H82 0752. I know a lot of us in Argentina and Brazil are tackling similar mods, so I’m creating this post to share what I’ve found and get some help from the community to make this happen!

Here’s the deal: I’m using VCDS to try and activate the folding mirrors on lock, but the security access code 31347 for module 09 (Central Electronics) isn’t working. 😕 I initially thought this might be due to the 2025+ model having SFD or SFD2 protection, but from what I’ve read, that doesn’t seem to be the case for this BCM. Can anyone confirm if SFD/SFD2 is a factor here or if it’s something else?

After digging around on forums, I found some folks mentioning that the PQ25 Max4 might only support this feature through EEPROM modification, unlike newer GEN3/GEN4 BCMs where it’s a simpler VCDS coding tweak with security access. This is where I’m stuck and could use your expertise! 🙌

My Questions:

1. Has anyone successfully enabled **power-folding mirrors on lock** on BCM PQ25 Max4 H82 0752?
2. If EEPROM modification is the way to go, what tools do I need? (e.g., specific programmers, software, or hardware like VAG CAN Pro?)
3. What exactly needs to be modified in the EEPROM to enable this feature? Any specific bytes/bits or coding changes?
4. If anyone’s done this, are there **step-by-step guides** or resources for this specific BCM and model?

Thanks!

First of all welcome to the forum.

Can you redo your AUTOSCAN and post it again? The one above is messed up.

Your BCM appears to be PQ25 MMI4
and not PQ25 Max4.
PQ25 BCM EEPROM can be edited with VCP.

Anyways, have you tried this guide?

Are you using a genuine Ross-Tech VCDS?
As mentioned some of the scan look odd, but may be just that your vehicle is too new?

Thanks you much mate!

Did it like 3 times already. There is couple issues like missing modules. For example Door. elect 42 missing from the autoScan and not available on VCDS.
Actually all those modules that shows on the Autoscan are the one partially available, because a lot of them says "Sorry, no coding information is available for this ECU. If you would like to help, please send us an Auto-Scan file and Controller Channel Map."

I'm currently using a Deprecated old generation Hex + Can USB with Dual+K. I'm about to get a VCP instead due the EEPROM capabilities but still not knowing what should change on the EEPROM to make the mirrors fold on lock instead of on hold as currently is.
My Amarok is 2024+ and a weird only available on South America facelift version so may wont never be available ?

All help is very well appreciated!

Have you tried other security codes for module 09 so you can make thechanges in adaptions.
Ross Tech has the following:

9-Cent. Elect.31347
20107
42013

security access code 31347 for module 09 (Central Electronics) isn’t working
What exactly you mean not working? What's the response of the controller? Have you tried coding without using a code?

Can anyone confirm if SFD/SFD2 is a factor here or if it’s something else?
Based on the scan the SFD/SFD2 is not onboard your Amarok.

For the Auto-Scan please use "Save" (not the Print) to make the log more readable.
I'm afraid the controller 42 is not installed in your Amarok - instead the BCM has subsystems J386 and J387 for door controls.

Are the engine and gearbox actually adopted from Ford? Please share vehicle's configuration sticker.

Hey guys. First at all thanks so much for your answers.

This is my truck.

This is a third facelift called G2 only available here in Argentina and Brazil.

Tried those 3 codes spacing time between them to avoid getting locked and didn't work ( 31347, 20107, 42013 ) but they're seems to be rejected due to being wrong.
The engine is the well known DDXE (3.0L V6 258/272ps + ZF 8HP70)

Just uploaded a new Autoscan with another VCDS Vag-com adapter that's not original to seem if the original was wrong. And yes looks like is MMI4 thought was MAX4 but is not. Almost all modules are "Sorry, no coding information is available for this ECU. If you would like to help, please send us an Auto-Scan file and Controller Channel Map." and all the long coding results on bytes with unknown information

Like this.

So I don't really know how to get the mirrors to fold on single lock instead as currently is by holding it.

This shows it being enabled within the MMI system for a 2023 Amarok....

Thank you for your response!

My amarok is one made in Argentina which is still made by Volkswagen, is a different version from the Worldwide which is made by Ford.
Is called G2, basically a second facelift / life extension of the 2017 - 2022 H2 version.
You can see here its picture!
