Folding Mirrors On Comfort Close (again)

Hi Gerry, many thanks for your feedback, I will test them. I noted the first digits 4 and 5 very different. Could you share your next scan when done to know which subcomponents are new? Thanks for your help.
I just saw you are French and near of Toulouse where I live. I feel less alone.

it is different in byte 00 activation bit 2 and 6
we are a little lonely
the hardest part is finding the wiring diagrams to make the beams ;)

That's excellent news. Did you also replace the door/mirror modules from M-revisions to N+R revisions as above in the Excel sheet?

ebay the bcm 88€
yes I have replace the door modules same the excel sheet

Well, that seems to back up what I thought about the later window motors, they need a different command to fold on lock to earlier "L" versions. I'll pick up a T6 BCM at some point to try on my T5.1 to see if I can get old on lock to work.

Anybody know a BCM part code guaranteed to work and support all the features I have on the T5.1 (cruise/MFSW/Xenon lights etc)?

Hi folks!

I am in the middle of doing quite a few retrofits/changes to my T5.1 but one retrofit I have already fitted are power folding wing mirrors.

Swapped to a Euro5 T6 BCM (7E0 937 090) to get MFSW illumination working and fitted brand new door modules (801 R and 802 Q) to get folding working.

Same as others with the euro 5 BCM, my mirrors fold from the switch but not with comfort closing.

What I also have here is a Euro 6 BCM (7E0 937 090 D) which I intended to originally use but couldn’t sync my remote central locking so that’s currently sat collecting dust on my shelf. (A problem fot

Would it be helpful to swap that BCM back in to see if I can get the comfort folding working?

With the euro6 BCM and current revision door modules, the van will basically be a Euro6 T6 as far as the BCM and doors are concerned.

I have VCDS, VCP and ODIS at my disposal so can grab whatever information is useful.

Hi All,

It's been a while but I finally fitted a T6 BCM today - part no 7E0937090C (the last version you can code the keys via adaptation). With no other changes the mirrors now fold on lock :) So it appears where we got to previously is correct. L revision window modules use a different command to the R/Q modules.

I've coded it up and removed the items not on my van from the gateway list but I'm still seeing a low voltage fault on the BCM - anyone know how to code out the Start/Stop and Battery Regulator properly?

Thanks

Congrats!

So you have restored coding AND adaptations into both 09-BCM and 61-Battery Regulator?

I've managed to sort out the Battery Regulator. The fault has also gone, not sure how but I've just been through the adaptations to set them as they were on the old BCM as VCDS wouldn't restore automatically as it kept getting stuck. Set them back to the T6 settings and the fault remains gone. Weird.

An interesting side effect and maybe something for the T6 guys to try out as something to maybe go on your adaptations list is after restoring the settings the mirrors would no longer fold on the long keyfob press.

Setting channel 84 to 0 from 1 disables it. Switching it back to 1 and the mirrors fold again.

Just the dash illumination fade out to fix now, presume there's no workaround here other than to re-jig the wiring with a relay?

I have a my17, mirrors can't be programed, is the only way to do this by fitting a new bcm
Cheers carl

It certainly looks that way. Which BCM do you have? Have you tried the adaptations in the spreadsheet to see if any of them work?

I will dig my scan out and have a look which my bcm is.

Further update, it turns out the illumination fade out was a red herring (lots who do the upgrade to BCM Max report it but I started with a 7H-90D BCM Max). I've re-installed the T6 BCM this morning, cleared the faults and all is working as it should. Potentially it was related to low battery due to lack of use during lockdown!!

All in all a super easy swap, confirmed everything is working correctly so all good. Thanks to all who helped out initially with the coding attempts
