Folding Mirrors On Comfort Close (again)

I don’t think there is any issue with the BCM’s I think it down to the door modules.
All 7E0 937 090 * BCM’s can operate comfort folding mirrors. Not sure on the older 7H0 BCM’s tho.

Anyways, a summary of posted adaptation maps attached for interested.

In the blockmaps an interesting group re folding mirrors seems to be group 35. Possibly switch status is shown there or in the neighbouring groups 34, 36.

EDIT 2: File update with @Deaky 's data from below. Thanks!

Wow been busy retrofitting on the van today, loads of stuff added to the thread!

Just as an update, in the background yesterday I worked through a load of adaptations (thanks @mmi) from a T6 without success. There's more here and from Matti to try with.

Based on @Adams post further up, is it likely the problem is my BCM? Being an older 7H0 variety. Were the last T5.1's with L modules fitted with 7H0 or 7E0 BCMs?

I'll give some more stuff a whirl tomorrow and update.

Cheers

Phil

Definitely a great idea keeping a spreadsheet of admaps, unlike autoscans they dont always get much attention to be documented.

34, 35 and 36 are all lighting adaption channels.

@phazer I have just checked back through my original autoscan when I purchased my T5.1, its a 2015 so pretty close to cut off for T6 and yes it did have a 7H0 BCM from factory which comfort closing did work.

Thanks.

Do you have any details of these adaptation channels? Also would appreciate if you can share information about the undocumented channels in the sheet.

Apologies being unclear - the 35 mentioned was on the measurement blocks - reading "installed vs. not installed" depending of van having folding mirrors or not.

ah I see, sorry. Do you have any admaps of anyone with factory fit ambient lighting (door cards)?

35 - Lights: Time to complete dimming of the light
36 -Lights: Time until complete dimming of the light

I think it refers to the time it takes to fade in and fade out of the cornering light

Great, thanks! That gives some hope still

so not sure what 09:03:06/07 do?

thought at that point VCDS showed 09:03:07 as "comfort function active" but doesnt detail what function on what system?

It seems that we cannot really confirm what is the effect on T6 - it is unticked from factory on all my scans but windows comfort closing works on all of them.

On the VCDS Screenshot not ticked means not active - ticking turns the text turns to show "the text is literally valid".

However, German VCDS states for this bit "Comfort function via LIN databus active" so perhaps no implemented on T6.

regarding 09:03:7
I have successfully got folding mirrors working for some T6 after setting door modules to A3 & B3 but you have to set bit 7 on and then relearn the auto stops then they worked on the key.

Evening All,

Finally had some time to tinker today. I've applied all settings from @Dellmassive and @Deaky to mirror (aha!) a MY18 van as I have R&Q modules. Again no joy. Adaptations 66,67,70 & 79 have numeric values that I am unable to set - they will all take 1 but not 2,24,20 or 255 as per the posted values.

Not sure what to try next. It feels like there's different messaging in the later BCMs that the R&Q mirrors respond to but no way to test this out without a MY18 BCM.

I keep looking on here hoping someone has found the holy grail
And can sort my mirrors to fold on key fob on my My17 kombi.
Maybe another day.

Hi,
I forward you my last scans for your study, perhaps it will be useful as I had got two N modules.
Today my mirror folding don't work by a long button press with A3 and comfort function setting.
If you need any test, no problem.
Regards

Thanks. Could you please provide the AutoScan too? Just edit your message above and upload it in there.

Sorry, I forgot it. I did it today and there are some error codes inside.

to test the nearest bit of the current ones, without success to get folding mirrors by a long button press...
Have you got any scans from new models MY19, MY20 showing new settings of these components?.

Thanks for your help
