Hi
New to the forum. Just bought a 2017 T6 startline TSI after years of T5 ownership.
Was perfect on the drive home.
Noticed when I got home that the previous owner had all of the interior lights switched to the off position.
Didn’t think too much of it so switched them to the on when the doors are open position.
Next day I go for a drive and the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. Abs, esc lights, auto start stop not working brake fault etc….
Took it for a long drive and all the dash problems started to go away till I was left with no fault lights.
Plugged one of them Carly odb diagnostic tools in borrowed off bro in law. Shows a load of faults relating to under voltage.
Decide to turn the interior lights back to the off position. And it’s fine for a couple of days. No dash fault lights.
Thought I’d start with the cab interior light. Switched it to the on when doors open position again. Left it like that a day. Same thing, abs, esc fault lights etc….
Noticed that the cab interior light is warm to touch considering it hasn’t been on.
So I’m assuming somehow that is the problem. Took it out and had a look at it but it looks like brand new. No obvious looking fault.
Could it just be something as simple as a faulty light or could it be something more worrying?
Thanks
Jody
