interior light replacement

Hello the interior light of my t6 is a 7E0 947 123 A

there is no switch and the light never goes off when the door is open. I want to replace it with a model with a switch but I can't find any compatible. Anybody has a clever idea?
(i would like a plugnplay solution)

In the back of the Van? those lights have a built in switch. Try pressing each end of it to see if it makes any difference

Yes it's the back of the van but no there is no switch...

I thought the lens (the clear piece) is the switch

I don't have an answer for you myself however I did find a similar thread for this light.

I don't see any direct swap/plug and play solutions listed though as it appears the OP was going to wire in their own switch.

It may be worth searching for other vans that light is used in, and see if they offer alternatives with a switch.

From the factory the light times out in 60 minutes, which can be adjusted. BCM adaptation channel 38, value 121 = 60 minutes, value 5 = 2 minutes (30 second step size)
