T6.1 interior lights not working

Hi,
Finally bought a van and got to spend time this morning figuring out the interior controls. The interior lights have me stumped.

I have two reading lights that I can manually turn on / off. Then another switch which shows an open door.

No matter which way I set the switches the interior light will not come on when I open the doors. Only when I manually turn on the reading lights.

Any ideas or am I missing something fundamental?

Switch 3 in for on with doors.

Switch 2 out should light the rears only. Check your fuses if not

Doh! Just been playing round with it again. Noticed the footwell lights were on all the time. As it was daylight I had not noticed before, but when going dark I noticed them. Turns out the back door was not fully closed - it looked closed... but evidently was not. So slammed this shut and the footwell lights went off. And now the interior lights work also when I open the door. Beyond me why the rear door not being fully shut would cause the interior lights not to work. Thanks for your responses.

Lights would have timed out after about 10 minutes with a door open. Battery saver. Did it not show as open on the dash?

I don't recall seeing anything on the dash. I will have to look again in the morning. I actually sat in there for about 10 mins with doors locked and they stayed on.
