Auto Folding Wing Mirrors

@Loz , you need to select 'Comfort function' in BCM as ciclo suggests

from your autoscan, it shows Byte3 Bit7 is not selected

Your new coding (with it selected)

Sorry, I missed that, bit distracted last week, I'll test it in the morning.

If this helps anyone this is my previous folding coding

Oh and typically I had ordered one of those china mirror folding boxes before this thread started which turned up today and now I obviously don't need it!

If anyone wants it cause they don't have the right modules, let me know, just need to cover what I paid for it which is £10 I think, not even opened it

Cheers.

@Loz How about trying 1500B3 instead of 5500B3 in the first door control unit?
That's how it is at the mo..
Code:
Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 7E0 959 801 Q HW: 7E0 959 801 Q Labels: 7E0-959-801.CLB
   Component: J386__TSG_FT 003 0653
   Serial number: KU0KU007091662517676
   Coding: 1500B3

   Subsystem 3 - Part No SW: 7E0 959 802 Q HW: 7E0 959 802 Q Labels: 7E0-959-802.CLB
   Component: J387__TSG_BT 003 0653
   Serial number: KU0KU030081662435787
   Coding: 0400A3

@Loz looks like your J386 module is different coding to mine, I would try 1400B3 as I think the code needs to match on both doors

If I code just one of the modules and not both then nothing folds, they both have to be coded correcrly for them to fold

Good luck!

For reference, mine is:

Surely this won't work as they are Q modules ?

Correct, but we are persevering... (just in case we missed a freak coding win)

I'm going to do some testing on my BCM (7E0937090B) this evening to rule out that the problem is due to BCM coding, but I'm afraid the problem lies in the window regulator motor software. 003 0653

After several tests with my BCM, etc...

(summary - my final conclusions)

1- The BCM coding you tested this morning should make the folding mirrors work automatically on your T6 if they were the right ones.
In my 6R, this BCM coding works wonderfully for folding mirrors. Faults in/with other things (logically), but the mirrors work perfectly.
2- For your BCM, Byte3 Bit7 is required.

(IMHO) Your best bet is to change both window regulator motors by 'L' version. (003 8653)
If it is a priority, hurry up, according to ETKA the 'L' version has not yet been definetively replaced. Something similar happened with the Polo 6R and many people could not buy them.

Worth it. I spent a lot of money to get them because I started from zero (new Mirrors, new WRMs, wired, hours for get the right coding...) and I never regret it.:)
It is very easy to change them with the right tools (plastic tools, tape, screwdrivers, etc... Elsawin)

Thanks for your fine work on this for us @ciclo , so as usual i have the wrong ones, (Q) sounds about right! so over to you @Pauly .....what/where/how do we sort these thingy regulators motors then ??

I ran the number through ETKA today and it didnt like it/no parts found. I tried 7E0959801* (wildcard in place of the suffix)
As the door module is a sub system of the BCM is it an actual separate module from the BCM, i also notice any vehicle with "Q" door modules has a "B" revision BCM, could that be a factor ?
