Audio Issues only tweeters working

At the start of our journey the stereo (VW kit, no car play or sat nav) worked fine, but now the audio is only coming from the tweeters. I had thought this was a setting issue in the head unit, I’ve set all the audio back to factory settings. Still no sound from the door speakers. I thought it strange when both door speakers stopped working at the same time. Any hints and tips on how to resolve this much appreciated

Have you tried resetting the stereo by turning it on, and then pushing in the volume control and holding it until it restarts?

Probably water got into the back of the speakers and corroded the voice coils..

I did wonder that myself but seems strange they’d fail at the same time. I guess anything is possible though…..

Unless the passenger one failed some time ago and it wasn’t noticed because the driver door speaker still worked. When the driver’s side failed it gives the impression that they both failed at once.

They probably didn’t, I drove around for ages with one speaker out, it wasn’t until I put the Sat nav on and only got announcements from the RHS that I realised

See it all the time, one fails and you do not notice then the other fails and you are left with a tinny sound,

99.9% blown door speakers

Upgraded alpines and tweeters ok on radio. when use Spotify goes to one speaker..???

Is spotify used through app connect or Bluetooth?
