It's an expensive option, but is hard to overestimate the value of a good night's sleep.
A review will be incoming on 5 Sept, as we go away with it on 4th (hopefully, if it arrives in time).
Thanks, we're looking at doing the same so be interested to hear your feedback.
Just realised I haven't provided feedback after actually using this mattress. My first feedback is that their customer care is excellent. They initially quoted 3 weeks to deliver a bespoke mattress to my design (see below). When I explained I needed it for a camping trip in 2 week's time, they said they would try their very best to ensure I had it before then. On that basis I crossed my fingers and placed my order.
Today - just 7 working days since placing the order - I received email confirmation that the mattress is at DPD's Crawley depot.

I'm struggling with the £650 bit! Wow!Just realised I haven't provided feedback after actually using this mattress.
The first thing to say is that it's HUGE - it's 15cm deep, so measures 120x64x45cm (WxHxD) when folded in 3.
The second thing to report is that the price tag matches the bulk of the mattress - it was VERY expensive. We chose to have ours made to a custom shape, using their top-spec foam, so they can be had for much cheaper, but, even so, over £650 was a lot more than I wanted to pay.
- When travelling, we keep it on the R'n'R seat (the only place it fits given we have a bulkhead behind our R'n'R bed). It takes up the ENTIRE seat space, so isn't suitable if you need to carry rear passengers. It also makes accessing the wardrobe problematic, which was a minor inconvenience for us; but may be more problematic for others.
- Whilst on site during the day, we moved it to the awning, but it is VERY bulky to move in and out of the van - you either need Inspector Gadget extendo-arms or it's a 2-man operation.
Lastly, comfort. I'm not going to pretend it's as comfortable as our king-size bed at home - no bed 120cm wide ever could be - but it is VERY comfortable. With all previous sleep setups, both me & Mrs Bav would wake up in the night with various aches and pains, and then struggle to get comfortable enough to get back to sleep. No such problem with this mattress - during our 7-nighter in Cornwall, we both slept through every night and awoke fully refreshed and ache-free. Temperature control also seemed very good, adding to comfort levels, though it wasn't particularly warm or cold, so that aspect wasn't fully tested.
Conclusion? It's very big (bordering on the impractical) and it's very expensive (bordering on the outrageous), but I challenge anyone to get a more comfortable night's sleep in a camper with 2 people sleeping on a 120cm-wide bed.
PS
They do offer slimmer and lower-spec foam mattresses and ones without the cut-outs ours has, so that should decrease costs and bulkiness, but not sure what impact that would have on sleep comfort.
It's OK just presumed you were asleep on itJust realised I haven't provided feedback after actually using this mattress.
Just an update, I bought the LUCID topper that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Not bad for £55 but left a lot to be desired plus it tears quite easily after rolling/unrolling. I’ll be putting it to use in our spare room instead.Similar dilemma albeit with a RIB 130. Tempted by this but worried it might not fit, might be overkill etc.

Hi, what is the thickness of each topper -25 or 50mm?We used a Dunelm topper and found it uncomfortable, so we decided to use 2 x Dunelm toppers. So much more comfortable now.
That’s the one we bought (cooling fresh-tec) - nothing to compare it with but we’ve used it over the summer and also between Christmas & New Year so it’s been tested in different conditions. Apart from the hole in the wallet no complaints at all!I’m looking at the duvaley, now the sales are on
I’m looking at either the comfort or the cooling fresh tec one. Any opinion s on which is the better option for the van, I’m thinking the cooling one will be best for in the hot summers , but has anyone tried them!
Thanks
Do you use this combined with SIM? onto wood frame or rib bed?We have the Slothie Double Premium 2.5cm Travel Mattress Topper. This has a Premium Coolmax cover. We use it all year round, including Christmas again this year.
Works well all year round.
We use this as a topper on our Titan rock and roll bed.Do you use this combined with SIM? onto wood frame or rib bed?
So I've just found a little leak near the value, hence my numb hip! hoping to repair but might still add a topper into the mixAnyone using a SIM and thin topper combo on a solid frame kombi bed?
Im finding my trusty SIM seems to not be enough, hip was aching.
Its a Multimat Camper Double 75 Self-Inflating Mat, straps neatly on back of modified amdro kombi bed.
Looking at Duvalay, Panda, slothie and Zonesleep, any recommended?
Excuse dusty floor, just back from camping.

Never had a problem with mine, it's greatGreat Shout!! thanks @TheGrapeEscape
We've got a full width RIB (130cm) that we've tried many different ways of making sleeping bearable and we purchased and tried one of the Trail SIMs at the weekend.
It was very comfortableIt was great being able to move in the morning, instead of feeling like you'd slept on a pile of broken bricks!
..the only 2 (minor, unforseen) issues we now have are:
1, We lost a few cm of headroom due to the SIM thickness so no sitting up in bed (standard tin-top) - need to try it on a lower level of inflation or get a pop-top.
2, (Due to the above the headroom issue) the SIM slid forward up against the front seats as we were shuffling on/off the bed - we were on a bit of a slope which didn't help.
So, absolutely would recommend the SIM and getting a comfortable nights sleep![]()
