A comfy nights sleep? Help

Just picked up a Duvalay from a chap on fb marketplace and its been sold to me as a 5cm freshtec. however, the foam is not memory foam at all and its not very dense. I have the blue eggshell foam from Amazon which feels a lot more supportive. The seller was age 60+ and from a nice house, in a nice area, which is the only thing convincing me it wasn't a scam. Even at 80 quid, its not great. This doesnt sound normal, but I'm stuck with it now. So thinking of ordering replacement foam from HOME PAGE has anyone tried their products before ?

Mmmm, doesn’t sound quite right. Our Duvalays both came with a cover to go over the foam which is embossed with Duvalay logo but maybe previous versions were different??

Hi

Mine is a flat stiff board (had the 2.5 mm mattress up there), For me it was getting into a similar position to how I sleep at home (on my front /slightly sideways - could spread out arms and legs) and not trying to be nice giving up room by sleeping more on my side . On the RIB it was more about accommodation of bodies to fit between side and cupboard the other side - this felt luxury 😂. Maybe give it a go (I was surprised).
So I managed to get my hands on the 5cm gold (firmer) Duvalay and tired I to the pop top. Paul I think you have nailed it when you mention room to move about rather than lined up like a sardine on the Reimo too scared to move and in case I wake the wife. I had the first decent night in the van as did the Mrs S. the 5cm on the solid board worked well although I did feel it a little on the hips. I have resolved this by cutting and fitting two 15mm Pilates mats onto the bed board topped of with the Duvalay. There is enough gap between the pop top for them to stay up there and the struts hold it so jobs a goodun !! Well for me anyway.
Step 2 -order another Duvalay 5cm silver (softer) for her to try on same or return. We just did a weekend with her using the 2.5cm Duvalay which was OKish so hopefully the new one will sort this once and for all.
So to cut a long story short, separate beds and room to move combined with a decent mattress is the key for me!
disclaimer: I do not have shares in Duvalay although I wish I did but the dragons beat me to it!

We are 2 nights in using our freshtec 5cm mattress and I would go as far to say it’s a game changer. Before we used our 2.5cm memory foam mattress from the poptop on top of 2.5cm SIM with bedding that wrapped round the lot and the RIB bed. The duvulay mattress with its sheet and the bedding all ready to go (instead of it all living packed away in the wardrobe) is a game changer in terms of setup and comfort it’s 100%. I would like to have tried the gold to compare though. Also we are now carrying round the poptop mattress for no reason. We will now never use it as a bed (kids too old to go up there) and the space is not big enough for the duvulay so what do we do we it or the space in the roof it uses?

We use a 10cm trifold mattress on our electric RnR bed, very comfortable, but we have kept our memory foam 5cm mattress in the poptop for our 5 year old Grandchild.
Occasionally on camp I'll wonder where the Mrs has gone and usually I'll find her having 40 winks in the poptop!
So, get Grand kids, or have a wife 'of a certain age'!

Yeah the cover on the foam also doesnt have the logo. It all seems a bit off. Nonetheless, it's a gumtree deal so what's done is done. It's all clean and new inc. duvet so will pick up a new bit of foam from foam4u and see how I go. Maybe take the opportunity to get a 6cm instead
