£99.00 Bed That Fits a SWB Kombi Perfectly

Super late to the party - Spent many years lugging around an v2 Exploria bed around in my T5.1 for the occasional overnight.

When I got my T6.1 I wanted to have the option of an overnight, but not lug a bed system around . Options looked extortionate, other than DIY or just slinging a camp bed in the back.

Then one night I came across this thread. By the following day I’d picked one up for £35 on FB

Full expected some wrestling to get it in place, but no. Took it out the office and it slid right in between the wheel arches..

Absolutely Genius! Topper on its way.. Heading for the outer Hebrides soon!

Please advise on lashing techniques to kill any rattles..

Would it make sense to have the bed the other way around so you’re not getting out and stepping on the bar at the end?

It doesn't quite work that way around as when I had mine i used it as a seat looking out the back doors too. I strapped mine with a small ratchet strap directly over the bed then put the topper on top of the ratchet webbing. The ratchet section had to be shortened slightly as not to foul the bed frame. It's the strapping point in front of the wheel arch.
