6.1 Startline retro fit upgrade advice needed

Afternoon
I am new to vw Transporters and trying to get my head round al the different options.
We brought a used Highline but unfortunately are returning it to dealer.
We have seen a potential 2021 startline van, but really need a reversing camera and also a Satnav, the van has Apple car play but have an android phone and don’t want to change phones, is there a way to add a sat nav and rear camera which isn’t crazy money, but we don’t want a stick on windscreen sat nav, got one of them already.

It will also have android auto which is the same as carplay for android so sat nav shouldnt be a problem

I have a 71 plate Startline and I had a genuine VW reversing camera fitted plus genuine front fogs with cornering lights fitted by Retrofits and I use waze off my android phone for sat nav.

Ahh that’s great, I did a bit of googling and came back as not compatible, I guess that was old info and now it’s made possible.

I’ve phoned Retrofits and they say they never ‘ever’ have fitted camera and fog lights to commercial vehicles, ie a transporter, could it of been another company

VW Transporter T5.1 and T6 Rear View Camera




We are pleased to offer a rear view camera systems for VW Transporter T5 and T6. Rear view camera for Transporter T5 is available in two versions, version LOW and High. Rear view camera for Transporter T6 is available in only one LOW versions .

Version HIGH comes with additional rear view camera module and it will provide dynamic, moving guidelines as long as a two parking modes. Transverse parking, useful to park into a slot which is transverse to the driving direction on for reverse driving into a longer entry and parking mode 2, Longitudinal parking, useful for parking into a slot along the driving direction on a curb.

Both LOW LINE and HIGH LINE VW T5 and T6 camera start working as soon as you put your car into reverse gear. It shows the area behind your car on your radio or radio navigation system display offering you a clear reversing image with easy-to-follow guidelines.

If your Transporter T5 or T6 is fitted with Front and Rear Optical Parking sensors, with reverse gear selected, both camera view and OPS display will be displaying on the radio at the same time. You will be able to switch between RVC view or OPS display or have both at the same time.
