2018 Manual 5 speed 102PS: Gearbox oil change thoughts?

As above, I have a 2018 campervan conversion (from new), that is just coming up to 7 years old and 41000 miles. It's not had a hard life, vast majority motorway miles, driven sympathetically and never towed anything. It has been serviced as per recommended service schedule and drives fine.

As far as I understand the manual gearboxes (unlike the DSG) aren't included in the service schedule. Any merit in having the gearbox oil changed?

Yes, the 5 speed gearbox isn’t the most reliable anyway. The oil change is an easy job to do yourself. IMO a garage shouldn’t charge more than 30 min labour but don’t be surprised if they charge an hour.
Opie oils can provide advice on the oil through the online chat function and the generally have the best prices, ask for the discount code, they no longer advertise it.
