I have a small leak forming from the vw plate as pictured below ( google image) i have read so far that to peave gearbox in neutral, take plate off and reseal. Can anyone confirm this is the case please? I am due to go to france next month so i could do without the pain of removing gearbox should it not end well! Of course oil will be drained. It is on a 2012 caab 5 speed if that helps
