2018 discover sat nav co ordinates

I have the same prob as @ Jimear16 post - can't find how to input co ordinates - needed for continental campsites. If I go to new destination, the icon which should let me input map references - it's like a settings icon, chequered flag and a down arrow is at the top of the screen but won't operate! Any help please?

Hmmm.... does the touchscreen work? Can you try on different pages touching the same location - do they work?

Touchscreen working ok everywhere else - nothing else comes up in same place
