thanks @Dellmassive I found out yesterday that my van had an aftermarket wing mirror fitted, so on the prowl for OEM replacement, I'll look at link for info.

You only get what the vehicle needs from the factory
No Satnav means no gps aerial, no phone pack means no gsm aerial etc

Mine has the plastic but not that wire.
