Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Burrs Country Park Caravan & High Vis Jacket Club ( C&MHC) unfortunately there’s on been one steam loco today due to the heatwave, just left on the dining special.

a beautiful walk up the river to Summerseat/Ramsbottom if you fancy it (and you can get the train back)

hope it didn't disappoint.

interesting fact: i believe the Brown Cow was the building used to house Italian POW's in WWII.

Barnard Castle CAMC site. Barnard Castle is a lovely place and within easy walking distance from the site. Been to a few CAMC sites now and this is one of the best, highly recommend 👍

I think it’s the C&CC which is easily confused. We use there sites far more than the CAMH. Not yet been to the Bernard Castle one but I’ve noticed on searching late availability there always seems to be space there. Perhaps we’ll try it later in the year 👍 or we could go for an eye test 😬😬

No, the C&CC site is about another 2 miles up the road and full of tents.

Does anybody else think beaches should be car free, the tiny rock we live on is covered in cars, most people go to the beach for the enjoyment of the beach not to look at more cars

I'll be honest watching some numpty park his rented Range Rooney on a Bank Holiday beach and the inevitable chaos that follows is what keeps YouTube going, that and Rufford Ford.
What gets me on a campsite among our tented brethren is the mentality of parking the car full of fuel nearly inside the flysheet of their tent despite large car parks onsite specifically designed for secure car parking.

Yeah well it very much depends on the beach I think. Most beaches over here are massive and its not a huge issue, sections marked off or whatever. Also some are registered roads. And there are plenty of beaches car free. Just lucky to have so many over here.
