Thanks to Rob, Steve and the team for a new pair of Evo front springs (thought I might as well do both) ready for the MOT retest.

But.

Bloody EML light came back on on the way home.

Oh well, still under warranty, will see when VW can look at it next week.
So.

Back to VW Manchester, new springs but the EML on.

Squeezed it into the smallest space they had left (why? It's a Commercial Vehicle Centre, why do they have car sized parking spaces?)

Had to leave it overnight, this morning they called and said it needs a(nother) EGR flush, that's the 3rd one in 7 years.

Not covered by warranty.

Unlike the 2nd one, which was covered by VW goodwill, this was only half covered.

So nearly £400, my share was just under £200, but a fresh MOT and we're good to go.

Must admit I was impressed with the treatment of the van, not only the usual paper on the floor and plastic on the seat, but cling film on the gear knob and wrapping on the steering wheel!

Is that the Debus Duo air canopy? Thinking of getting one (because two awnings just isn't enough 😄). Any thoughts (positive/negative)?
Yes it the Debus air sun ☀️ canopy from funky leisure… easy to set up .. quick … I’ve got the sides and door also… it likes to flap the sides in the wind … not really use it for the better weather trips … decent quality tho … 🤙🏾

Yes … extortionate parking fees … I stayed at coniston hall campsite 🏕️ for £25…. I took it as £1/hr to be there hahah

Not camped on Coniston Hall since a very wet experience in tents circa 1979 😬 I tell a lie went with my kids in 2004 better weather too, but I had terrible toothache overdosing with painkillers just to eat. I’d have pulled it out myself if I could have 🙄

IMG_4769.webpGot to Coniston early as the weather looked calmer waited 1.5 hours until it was launched. Then another half hour to tow it to the launch pontoon. It did about 30 seconds of a warm up routine then packed up. Fuel problems apparently again. We didn’t bother waiting potentially another hour or two & went to Tarn Hows. IMG_4779.webpIMG_4786.webp

@Drive Wayne. We’re heading down tomorrow for a train on Wednesday morning but IRRC we’re going in the opposite direction to you at the other end of the tunnel. What’s your itinerary?
